Thank you for the story from Khun Praew.

Thank you for the story from Khun Praew.”

I have to say that I am another woman who really wanted to have a baby. I tried everything that people said was good, but it still didn’t happen. Going back to when I just got married, I wasn’t trying to have a baby because I still wanted to travel around. I wanted to have all the moments of a newlywed couple, like a romantic walk hand in hand with my husband down a beautiful road in a foreign country. I also had a plan to start my own company, and as we were a healthy couple I was not in a rush to have a baby at all. When we were in our late 30s, our families kept asking non-stop about when we would have a baby.

Then, I realized that it was time to do it, or I would be too old to chase after my kid. After we made the decision, we tried to get pregnant naturally. After a year, we were wondering why it wasn’t happening. We tried every natural method like counting days and checking my cycle. We did it on the best day of the month every month and still, nothing happened. In the end, we decided to use some scientific method because we didn’t want to wait for much longer. We agreed to get an appointment at Bangkok IVF Center and the doctor was really nice. He gave us good advice and pre-egg freezing health check. The egg freezing process was a breeze. There was nothing that was too hard for me. I had to take medicine, get some injections and go for an ultrasound to check the number and the size of my eggs to see whether they were ready for collection. One process that people might be worried about the most is the injection of ovulation-induction medicine. I was very scared of needles, but the nurse who taught me to do the injection myself was very nice to me. I didn’t feel any pain.

However, when my husband was about to do it for me at home, I got scared. My husband had to try many things to console me to stop me from being scared. In the end, I gathered my courage and did the injection myself and when the needle went in, I didn’t feel anything. I was scared for nothing. I just want to tell you that egg freezing isn’t scary at all. If you want to have a baby, jabbing a needle in our little belly is nothing big.”
